DIE's first and only "non-demo" release, a very Opeth inspired album. Some classic tracks, some of my best stuff. "Lifted and Taken" was demoed on the previous release, placed again as the album closer.

Jack and I had both been to Audio School by the time that we started working on these songs. I can definitely admit that I was much more interested in making my own recordings sound good and the way I wanted them to sound rather than getting a job as an audio engineer (which I managed to do before I graduated!) These tracks have been refined a whole slew of times over the years, particularly the mastering, and I still hate the way the bass guitar sounds on them, but I also realized early on it was too late to re-track anything and I also lost the mix sessions to a bad hard drive. Recordings are supposed to be snapshots in time and you have to stop working on them at some point. Finally releasing the DIE stuff on streaming platforms will hopefully continue to help me learn this valuable lesson after all of these years of trying to polish audio turds.

(Remember, kids, if you record it right in the first place, you won't have to "fix" it later!)
